Choosing an Engagement Ring- Part one

This is guide is set out to assist you in choosing an engagement ring.  Layed out as a comparison of diamond size, budget and a selection of channels where you may purchase the engagement ring of your choice. Reviewing traditional high street ‘bricks and mortar’ jewellery retailers in major cities in the United Kingdom and a variety of local and international online e-tailers.

DIAMOND EYE shall assess the 2mm 18ct gold classic solitaire round brilliant diamond engagement ring in three diamond carat weights – a 0.25ct diamond; 0.50ct diamond and a 1ct diamond.

As diamonds are not all created equal. Diamond colour, clarity, carat and cut – the 4 C’s of diamonds effect the price. In my experience, I deem diamonds of  G-H colour to be of good value, comparatively white, bright and lively. Diamonds of  SI1 – S12 clarity are also of great quality-  inclusions in the diamond do not affect the beauty of the diamond. A perfect medium. A good quality diamond exhibiting beauty and brilliance.
